Samuel Woolley

Sam is currently a project researcher and the director of the Digital Intelligence Lab at the Institute for the Future. He previously served as Director of Research for the Computational Propaganda Project. Sam is also a fellow at Google’s human rights oriented think-tank and incubator Jigsaw and the UW Law School’s Tech Policy Lab. He is a PhD candidate (ABD) in the department of Communication at the University of Washington. His dissertation is on the use of bots surrounding the 2016 US election.
